Multiple Personality Disorder?

This was the first thing I noticed when I walked into my faux cubicle this morning for the first time in almost a month. Don’t get me wrong, I do adore the Dalai Lama and all that he stands for but what strikes me is who put this up.

As most of you know, (and if you don’t know now you do) I do not work in a “normal” office. It is oppressive, condescending, uptight, and will make you bitter if you let it. I work with individuals who vary greatly in personality and sanity. The one I share a desk with is perhaps the most unpredictable in nature and also the most conniving, selfish person I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting. For the past two years I’ve told myself that I met this office because of some grand plan that God has in store for me, or perhaps a test?! I don’t know why I ended up here but I did, and I do believe that everything happens for a reason so I’m not going to bitch about it any longer.

With that being said, you didn’t really think I could leave this place without one more observation, did you?

My mother told me never to talk about people and in the end none of this will matter, but right now I find the fact that my coworker posted a quote about kindness when she is perhaps the most unkind person I’ve ever met, absolutely hilarious. I had to share it.

I’m Back!

I’ve been crazy busy these past few weeks my dear followers but I shall be back starting……now.

Didn’t that just make your day? Aw, you’re all so sweet.

On a more serious note, er rant, lets have a look at the happenings of my recent work life.

  • Been applying like mad to government jobs because I absolutely can not work with my sociopath of a coworker any longer. She’s lost her marbles and I loathe her. I’ve been nice for almost two years but in all honestly, she gets whatever the hell the world serves her.
  • To add to that, we now work at another office in addition to our regular job. I get the joy of sharing a desk/space with her there as well. Yippie!!! My life couldn’t possibly get any more rewarding!
  • Not only is she even more slothful at the new place, she actually expects me to do her work. Ha! You can’t manipulate me you lazy ass.*
  • Everyone (in both offices) vents to me about how they prefer working with me over her. Hmm, can I get referral letters from everyone for new employment?

A job offer from the East Coast could not come soon enough.

Lord save me.

Everything else in life is grand! :)

*I’m actually quite an affable person who dislikes talking about about people for the sake of talking about people. But you must understand, I work with the antiChrist here, and I’m doing everything I can to hold on to my sanity. What I say isn’t mean if it’s true, haha.
